Prasanthi Nilayam ia a township situated in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradhesh state in south india . It is well connected by road, rail and air. Bangalore is the nearestmetropolis situated about 120 km from Prasanthi Nilayam. A new railway line connecting Prasanthi Nilayam and Bangalore has recently been introduced. Airlines Indian Airlines operates a flight between Bangalore and Prasanthi Nilayam on Monday, Thursday and Saturday when Bhagawan Baba is at Prasanthi Nilayam. The timings are given below in the table The coach is available from and to the Sri Sathya Sai Airport, about 6 Kms. away from the Ashram Current Schedules of arrival and departure and flight timings may be confirmed with Indian Airlines. Please enquire at the Airline Office in North Building 2-A1 or at an office in your city for booking of tickets and other details. |

Taxis The Ashram has no arrangement for taxis. You are advised to enquire with several taxi operators and travel agents available outside the Ashram. Taxis are not permitted to be parked inside the Ashram. For legitimate private cars, permission may be obtained from from the security office. The taxi fare from Puttaparthi to Bangalore is Rs. 1200 (approx.) one way. |
