Prasanthi Nilayam ia a township situated in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradhesh state in south india . It is well connected by road and rail. Bangalore is the nearestmetropolis situated about 120 km from Prasanthi Nilayam. A new railway line connecting Prasanthi Nilayam and Bangalore has recently been introduced. The railway station is christened "Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam" |

Taxis The Ashram has no arrangement for taxis. You are advised to enquire with several taxi operators and travel agents available outside the Ashram. Taxis are not permitted to be parked inside the Ashram. For legitimate private cars, permission may be obtained from from the security office. The taxi fare from Puttaparthi to Bangalore is Rs. 1400 (approx.) one way. |

Trains Prasanthi Nilayam appeared on the Indian railway map with the formal flagging of the Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam - Secuderabad train by hon'ble Minister of State for Railways Sri Bandaru Duttatreya on November 16, 2002. Shortly many more trains will be diverted via the new Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam Station |
